Four days of collective healing, song, and eco-somatic connection, gathering people across cultures and lineages on generationally Black-tended land—home of the Grief to Action Sanctuary. Engage in ceremony with Earth, Water, Fire, Sky, and the Spirit of Liberation. This intimate, Global-Majority founded gathering offers deep space to listen, sing, move, and weave a future of cross-cultural belonging.


A gathering for peoples of all heritages to root deeply in generative practices. Music, movement, and meditation will flow together through communal song, heart-centered witnessing, fire ceremony, embodied music, touch activism, earthen building, and ancestral tending.

A space of attuned connection with the land and the whole living world—for developmental, generational, and cultural healing. This gathering offers sustaining resources for this powerful cultural moment through the rhythms of presence, remembrance, and becoming. Earthsong calls our collective future into being.     Speaker | Facilitator | Touch Activist

    Aaron Johnson (he/him) is a public speaker, facilitator, and touch activist, fostering environments where Black-bodied individuals can express their full selves. As a founder of Holistic Resistance, Grief to Action, and The Chronically UnderTouched Project, Aaron takes the time to hold the stories of Black people around homophobia, transphobia, and internalized racism.

    Aaron's journey began, as it does for many Black men, with lack of loving and platonic touch. Now, Aaron assists other Black men in developing holistic touch practices to move from a Chronically UnderTouched state into touch balance. Aaron aims to create spaces for Black people and People of the Global Majority (PGM/BIPOC) to connect with each other and the earth. He and his team are establishing retreats and workshops on Black-owned land in the Mojave Desert and beyond to promote emotional and physical tenderness, platonic connection, and singing, which enhances the healing process for those overlooked by mainstream society.

    Alyx guides communities in life-honoring ancestral teachings, helping us to re-member our sacred human nature and restore relationship with lineage, land, and kinship-based lifeways. Holding circles, ceremonies, workshops, and personal mentorship, they offer Ancestral Healing, Cross-Cultural Repair + Coalition, Belonging-Based Decolonial Organization Systems, and Grief, Initiation, + Healing Work.

    Trained in community facilitation, decolonial repair, and somatic healing, their work kindles a pan-cultural revival of interdependence and reciprocity with the whole living world. This work is an offering to nurture our sacred responsibility as living ancestors.

    Artist | Educator | Wellness Facilitator

    Kaylyn Wright is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose work centers creative embodiment, mental health, and nature-based healing. With a B.A. in Psychology from Pitzer College and nearly a decade supporting youth programs across Los Angeles, he brings this experience into wellness facilitation. His path into music and wellness began in 2016 after the passing of his grandmother, sparking devotion to hip hop and mindfulness.

    Kaylyn integrates breathwork, meditation, and movement into his music offerings, blending hip hop, affirmation, and presence to create multisensory experiences honoring vulnerability, play, and authenticity. He currently guides weekly Community Yoga at Black Being and hosts Rerootd Radio, a podcast for creatives committed to wellness.

    Kaylyn emphasizes hip hop freestyle as a tool for healing, creative expression, and somatic connection, supporting participants in exploring the origins of hip hop, engaging in vocal and movement exercises, and leaving with deeper confidence in their voice, mind-body connection, and authentic self-expression.

    Kingsya’s mission is to help others reconnect with their truth and live from a heart-centered place. He co-founded Sanctuary Healing Spa in Fort Collins, CO, and created ManaHeart — community spaces designed to cultivate courageous vulnerability, authentic expression, and sacred interconnection. Through his signature Heartwork Sessions, Kingsya supports individuals navigating life transitions, releasing stuck emotional patterns, and returning to an authentic relationship with themselves.

    Over the past six years, he has worked closely with youth through organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club (Fort Collins, CO), The Matthews House (Fort Collins, CO), and Boys to Men Hawaii (Big Island, HI), creating spaces for trust, listening, and authentic voice.

    A speaker and co-host of How Do You Human, Kingsya explores themes of vulnerability, masculinity, healing, and heart-centered living. His training includes the South Carolina School of Healing Arts, Acupressure Institute, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Coaching Practicum Intensive, and Hakalau Immersion on the Big Island, HI, among others.

    Saraswati is a certified meditation teacher who provides chaplaincy services at Elmwood Jail in the Men’s Mental Health Unit. They are training as a board-certified Buddhist chaplain and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner®.

    Their approach moves like a river—drawing from their magical faith tradition, traditional medicine, psychological and somatic practices, and a trauma- and carnage-informed perspective. Rooted in ritual and grounded in earth practices, Saraswati’s work moves in dialogue with Eastern and Western lineages, the seen and the unseen, tending both the wounded personal psyche and the divided collective body. Through their ancestors, they receive support from earth, water, and fire, working to heal ancestral wounds and foster healing across differences.

    Saraswati lives on unceded Ohlone land in California.

instrumental to the deep holding in this event, is the land. Earthsong takes place in the Mojave Desert—spacious, peaceful, with Joshua Trees and desert plants on site. The earth is an unquestionable teacher and healer in this deep contemplation gathering weekend, and an essential facilitator of personal transformation.

    Deposits
    For People of the Global Majority (PGM), a $100 non-refundable deposit is requested for registration.

    For white-identified folks and Redistribution + Sustainer tickets, $300 non-refundable deposit is requested for registration.

    Deposits help ensure we can purchase food and supples for the event. Thank you for understanding.

    All remaining ticket balances are due 3 weeks before the retreat begins (April 1, 2026).

  • All cancellations more than 30 days before the retreat will be fully refunded minus the nonrefundable deposit. 

    If you need to cancel less than 30 days before the event and we can fill your spot, you will be fully refunded minus the administration fee. 

    Inclement Weather Policy
    While not likely, an inclement weather event is possible in this area. Mother nature is continuing to offer us a surprising landscape in all seasons. We will notify all participants within 36 hours of the retreat start if inclement weather is expected and update you as to our cancellation policy if the hosts need to cancel the retreat.

  • In order to continue protecting ourselves, our families and the most vulnerable members of our extended population, we are still asking everyone to take a rapid COVID-19 test when they check in on April 22. Tests will be provided by Earthsong.

    We will have additional rapid tests on hand for everyone to take an optional additional test on April 25.

    We ask anyone that is feeling sick or has tested positive for COVID-19 to not attend this event. 

    • If you need to cancel within 48 hours of the start of the retreat due to illness, please contact us immediately.

  • After purchasing your ticket, we will ask you to fill out a Registration form so we can know any accessibility needs and prepare for your arrival.

    Transparency around Pricing
    The cost of this event covers your use of the venue, food, additional supply costs, and the time and travel of your facilitators. We directly match the cost of the retreat to the cost of the expenses. Our facilitation teams prioritize movement teachings in their lives, not corporate salaries, and any income for the facilitators directly supports their families and their ability to provide these events. 

    We honor that everyone’s level of financial accessibility is different and subject to various factors. If we can further support your accessibility through payment plans, please let us know. 

  • We recognize that some people have the funds to allow them to support the attendance of those with fewer financial resources. So, we welcome donations via the ticket link to “Sponsor an Attendee.” Scroll down below the tickets and click “I’d just like to donate".”

    Donations to this program will be used to assist us in offering scholarships. FAQs

  • The Grief to Action Sanctuary is located about 45 minutes away from the Ontario airport in the High Desert of Southern California with an elevation of 4,000 feet. We may be able to arrange airport pickups from Ontario if you are not bringing a vehicle. You can let us know in your registration form if you are in need of local transportation support.  

    Group offerings will be both inside and outside. The desert can vary in temperature, and in the spring can still be extremely hot and can get very cold and windy. We encourage you to bring hats, sunscreen and layers so that you can find comfort and be able to turn inward. Bring a water bottle and reusable thermos/tea cup so you can stay hydrated as well. Drinking water is provided.

    Grief to Action includes 11 acres of land, most of which is bare desert land. The buildings are simple and rustic, and Grief to Action prioritizes earth building and using natural structures whenever possible. 

  • For this event, accommodations will be camping or BYO vehicles to sleep in. We have a few tents that can be shared with guests, and guests will need to provide their own bedding. There are also a few indoor places to sleep if needed. 

    There is one outdoor shower and two indoor toilets.

    Note: we do not recommend large RV’s as the shared space for accommodation is limited and there are no RV hookups. Vans or SUV's are fine, as well as tent camping.

  • All food is provided and there is fridge/cooler space if you’d like to supplement with your own snacks or dietary needs.

    We'll do our best to accommodate restricted diets, including vegan and gluten free — please let us know your food needs and preferences on your registration form.

    For highly restricted diets you may need to supplement your own meals. We do ask that everyone bring snacks, as needed.
